A practical example
Choose the PDF and wait for the editable fields to appear. Enter a sample value in a text field and select the applicable checkboxes or choices. If no fields appear, the document may be a flat PDF or an unsupported XFA form; Fill & Sign is the more suitable tool for adding visible text to a flat page.
Limits and common mistakes
Leave Flatten off when the recipient may need to edit the values. Turn it on only when you want the completed entries to become page content. This tool does not edit read-only or signature fields, and appearance updates support Latin text.
Check your downloaded result
Reopen the saved PDF and verify the values rather than relying only on the web form. For an editable copy, click into a field to confirm it remains interactive. For a flattened copy, check that entries are visible and that the fields can no longer be changed.
Where processing happens
Your document is processed locally in your browser. Document contents are not uploaded to the PDFDesk server. Opening the website still sends ordinary connection information to the host.
