Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between secure erase and visual cover?
Secure erase rebuilds marked pages as images with the selected areas removed. Visual cover adds white shapes while retaining underlying page content, so it must not be used to hide sensitive information.
Does secure erase preserve selectable text?
Not on marked pages: they become images. Untouched pages retain their existing page content. Document-wide features such as bookmarks may not be fully preserved.
Can I undo an area before saving?
Yes. Use Undo area to remove the last rectangle or Clear page to remove all rectangles on the current page.
Where are my documents processed?
This tool processes your files locally in your browser. Document contents are not uploaded to a server. The website host still receives ordinary connection information when you open the page.
